Located in Montevideo, Uruguay, our firm was founded in 1996 by Luis Lapique and Mauricio Santeugini immediately after graduating together from the Universidad Católica del Uruguay.

Business Law
Our main area of practice focuses on legal counsel to medium and large size companies that do business in Uruguay. The experience and specialization of our members, allows us to provide legal, tax and accounting counsel to solve every issue that normally comes up when doing business in Uruguay.
Luis Lapique is the partner in charge of commercial, corporate, M&A, contracts and tax issues, having worked in these areas of law for more than 15 years.
Mauricio Santeugini is the partner in charge of labor law issues and is in charge of the litigation department of the firm.
More than 15 years practicing business law let us clearly understand how a business entity works, how shareholders and board members think and different issues that must normally be dealt with when dealing with employees. In order to practice business law, we are able to analyze financial statements, provide our advice on commercial issues and act as general counsel, not only legal counsel.
Our wide range of clients operates in different market industries: leather, salt, paints, fishing, construction, tea, agricultural industries, textiles, farming, advertising, television, health, hotels, credit cards, investment funds, financial deals, software production, international and local transportation of people and goods, hardware, farming, automotive industry, cosmetics, industrial machinery, clothing, distributors, supermarkets, books, etc.
In the last years we have developed a strong practice in the real estate area.
